Notes:

The section from Allambie Road to Wakehurst Parkway is the only full section of dirt fire trail along the whole length of the Forest Pipeline.  In fact all the other wide sections of trail have better grass cover than most of the playing fields in the area!!

The entrance to this section is directly opposite the bus stop on Allambie Rd, just up from the Mortain Ave lights.  Access is around the top side of the gate.

The opening section of trail is flat before the first of a number of moderate descents and climbs.

This section is completely straight from start to finish but the rough nature of the track is enough to keep you switched on.  Plenty of large loose rocks rolling around on dirt or bedrock can cause plenty of problems if you aren't paying attention.

The hills on the way to the Wakehurst Parkway are challenging but ridable, I found the return journey far more taxing.

This section ends at the Wakehurst Parkway.  To continue on the Forest Pipeline Track back up about 15m and take the single track to the north.

This trail sees it's fair share of walkers (and their unleashed dogs) accessing the walking tracks running back down to Manly DamThese walking trails are NOT OPEN TO MOUNTAIN BIKERS!

Parking in Allambie Heights or on the other side of the Wakehurst Parkway and use the Pipeline Feeder Track (Single track and Wakehurst Parkway crossing)

Comments:

This website is brought to you by MTB weekend warrior Aaron Markie.
There are plenty of great websites out there with a wealth of information about Mountain Bike Trails,
however in my experience its hard to get a good mix of info, maps, photos and videos of trails I've never ridden.
The idea of this website is to tie those 4 elements together and give you a more detailed look at the MTB Trails I ride.
If you have anything to add then let me know.
