Notes:

The Weemala Trail is a short stretch linking Weemala Rd to Booralie Rd, near the intersection of Joalah Rd.

The bottom (south) section of the Weemala Trail is of little use for a mountain biker as it doesn’t link with any other trails.  The fire trail climbs reasonably steeply from Weemala Rd up to the end of Killawarra Rd, not far from the start of the Sandy Trail.

From Killawarra Rd it’s a single track all the way to Booralie Rd.  The first section is flat with a few little twists and a number of fallen trees left to provide technical challenges or assist in removing mech depending on your point of view.

The descent down to Booralie Rd also provides some challenges.  The trail is obviously well used by horse riders and this has created 1-2ft deep trail gullies.  It certainly adds some excitement to what would otherwise be a fairly uneventful ride.

Toward the bottom the trail splits left or right and either way the trail is easily ridden.  (the left track probably more interesting and slightly longer).

While riding down the gullies was a little challenging riding up them was bloody difficult.  In fact on the return leg I found myself walking most of the way as I couldn’t hold speed due to narrow gully walls and the number of roots and rocks in the trail.

From the Booralie Rd end it is a short road ride to the Cullamine Track and onto the Perimiter Trail or Long Track.  Alternatively the road back to Terrey Hills has a dirt horse track on the southern side which means you can ride to the Japanese School entrance of the Perimiter Trail or right back to the guttered streets of Terrey Hills on the dirt.

The single track section between Killawarra Rd and Booralie Rd creates a nice link between the Cullamine Track and Sandy Trail.  I suspect few people know of or have considered this route:

This website is brought to you by MTB weekend warrior Aaron Markie.
There are plenty of great websites out there with a wealth of information about Mountain Bike Trails,
however in my experience its hard to get a good mix of info, maps, photos and videos of trails I've never ridden.
The idea of this website is to tie those 4 elements together and give you a more detailed look at the MTB Trails I ride.
If you have anything to add then let me know.
