Notes:

This section runs from the bottom carpark, which I believe is only open on race days.  However if you can get your car up here it would be a better option than wearing out your tyres riding over the Hinze Dam.

From the open clearing at the bottom the trail undulates around the cleared area and down over the creek.  From the creek it's a long, unrelenting climb to the top of the mountain.  The grade is moderate with the exception of a rather steep section in the final third made all the more difficult by the long grasses that totally obscured the trail.  I had no option but to walk this section.

With the exception of the short overgrown stretch the loamy track on this side of the mountain was in very good condition.  The trail is narrow and winding, with a number of tight switchbacks broken up by long flowy traverses, dips and the odd steep section.

This website is brought to you by MTB weekend warrior Aaron Markie.
There are plenty of great websites out there with a wealth of information about Mountain Bike Trails,
however in my experience its hard to get a good mix of info, maps, photos and videos of trails I've never ridden.
The idea of this website is to tie those 4 elements together and give you a more detailed look at the MTB Trails I ride.
If you have anything to add then let me know.
