Notes:
This section of trail was opened in 2014 and forms the 2nd part of the Thredbo Valley Trail.
It starts near the Rangers Station (TVT Part 1 -Thredbo to Rangers Station) as the trail turns left and heads over a large arch bridge. On the Western side the trail doesn't move far from the river however it does gain some elevation at times which means a fair amount of pedaling. The short climbs are separated by short descents and longer flat sections, It's only about halfway through this section before there are any significant flowy runs.
Toward the end of this section the trail runs over another arch bridge bringing you back onto the eastern (road side) shore, from here it's a short winding pedal through the bush and over a couple of elevated walkways to the Ngarigo Campground.
The single track runs around the campground on the road side of the clearing before crossing the dirt road into Ngarigo and becoming the TVT Part 3 - Ngarigo to Thredbo Diggings.
A first time run from Thredbo to Ngarigo will take around 30-50 depending on how many stops you take and how hard you're pushing on the flats and hills.
