Notes:
The Blue upper loop starts from Quarry Rd about halfway between the fire trail and Blue Descent.
This trail is quite short but fun and for those without a great deal of technical experience this trail is a great place to practice - not only for the quality of the trail but the ease of riding it over and over.
From the road it climbs swiftly. A number of small rocky sections will keep you pushing hard and the more momentum you carry the easier it will be.
Near the top the trail forks with the blue section running off to the right and the black section going straight on (I am yet to ride the black section). There's a little more climbing to go, including a log roll over before the trail starts to descend.
Overall the descent is easy with the exception of a rock step section that might freak out those not used to technical descents, it does however look much worse than it really is (keep your weight back and heels dipped).
The trail ends with a few twists and turns before sharply turning towards the road - LOOK OUT FOR CARS!
It's definitely worth riding this section of trail. Add it to the start or the end of the Blue Descent - or as the Old Elpaso Girl says "Why don't we have both?"
