Trail type - Single track

Notes:

The Jurassic Park trail begins at the southern end of the car park and runs parallel to Red Hill Forest Rd for a little while (through Bong Alley Heights) before winding its way down into the valley.

The single trail is wide and open however as it starts to descend the trail becomes narrower, more rutted and is lined with trees making the riding tight but flowey.

There are some steep sections as the trail descends into Jurassic Park before ending up at "the Drop Off", a technical section with a steep winding descent, ladder bridge, very steep climb followed by a 10ft near vertical drop.  There is a B-Line Chicken Run however don't be fooled, the Chicken Run is an intermediate section at the very least.  Its got rutted and steep corners that could easily bring you undone.

The A and B lines meet up the ladder bridge at the bottom of the valley.

The ride along the valley floor is fairly flat as it winds its way through the forest.  The trail is relatively smooth with plenty of room to build up some momentum, however just beyond handlebar reach are plenty of hungry trees - something you get used to around Ourimbah.

The trail ends at the Potters Gully Rd fire trail.  Typically a climb up the Potters Gully Rd fire trail to Burnt Forest is the next step. Read more about Potters Gully Rd

This trail section was one of my favourite sections at Ourimbah State Forest. The soft trail (I'm told it can be quite slippery), dense green forest and winding descents was a unique combination compared to the rest of the trail sections at Ourimbah.

Parking at the trail head.

This website is brought to you by MTB weekend warrior Aaron Markie.
There are plenty of great websites out there with a wealth of information about Mountain Bike Trails,
however in my experience its hard to get a good mix of info, maps, photos and videos of trails I've never ridden.
The idea of this website is to tie those 4 elements together and give you a more detailed look at the MTB Trails I ride.
If you have anything to add then let me know.
