Notes:

Corridor is an expert trail, the first grade 5 I’ve  ridden in the Redwoods. Corridor has  some very technical sections that require well an expert level riding skill, I  was caught short on a number of occasions.

Corridor begins at the top of the Tokorangi climb above Katore Rd.  Follow the signs up to Tokorangi and when at the peak look for  the Corridor trail to the left of  the Tokorangi descent.

Like Tokorangi, Corridor begins with an open section of undulating flow across the  ridgeline.  Corridor has some fast berms and big table tops however the real  challenges occur after the trail enters the bush.

Corridor is quite steep, I spent much of the trail hard  on the brakes, however the trail was also very wet, extremely slippery, off  camber corners and heavily rooted.  Put  all those elements into a 3m stretch of trail and these are the sorts of  challenges you are going to find end on end all the way down Corridor.

As seen on  the video it became too technical for me on a number of occasions, however what  may not be so evident on the video is how difficult it was to see the  trail.  Also in order to take on the root  steeps safely I would have needed to carry speed that I didn’t think I was  capable of controlling in order to make the off camber corners.  You may have also noticed how dangerously bad  I rode the bottom section of the trail and how close I came to coming off on  more than one occasion.  Quite simply the  middle section spooked me and by the time I got to the bottom I was right off  my game.

Corridor ends on Katore Rd, just up from the ponds it’s only a short ride up to Paddy's Run (formerly A-Trail).
