Notes:
Newnes and more specifically the Newnes Plateau has a massive fire trail network linked by a large array of Moto, 4WD and Mountain Bike trails.
There is however an outstanding fire trail / single track ride that's not to be missed. From the Old Coach road 30km from Lithgow along the Newnes Plateau via Old Coach Rd Fire Trail to the Rail Trail at which point you can ride right to Newnes or left to Glow Worm Tunnel and then onto the Car Park.
It is an amazing ride with some rarely seen views of the escarpments and valleys from the Newnes Plateau.
