The Kids Loop runs adjacent to the first section of the Tahi trail but for the purposes of this video I have shown a route departing and returning to the Waipa carpark.
From a trail quality perspective the Kids Loop is well built however it’s important to identify that the name clearly comes from the intended usage not from a parental aspect.
For my 2c, I wouldn’t be letting my infants school aged child ride off around the Kids Loop by themselves which is pretty sad because taking off into the bush for hours on end was precisely what I did most afternoons and every weekend when I was that age.
Anally retentive, overly fearful parent aside ... it’s a great trail for kids, they will love it.
