Notes:
The Red Loop is longest of the formal Wingello State Forest loops, while the other loops are all fire roads the Red Loop is approximately 50/50 fire trail and single track and the single track is some of the best XC single track you will find anywhere.
Below is listed all of the trail sections in order. The only section missing is from the end of Genesis to Pine Cone where a detour was in place during this particular ride. The Genesis single track was cut short after logging in 2015, it now heads out to the cleared forest and as of March 2016 the signage directs riders up the hill and around the block directly ahead at the end of our Genesis video.
Signage is very good around the red loop, however at the time of riding (March 2016) the sign at the start of Where's Wally had fallen over. So keep your eyes open for any single track entry as there's a good chance that's where you should be going.
An easy intermediate pace with plenty breaks will take around 3 hours. Take plenty of water and energy, I've found this trail takes a lot more energy than other trails of a similar distance.
