Notes:

River is quite an amazing All Mountain trail, one that should be on the bucket list for all who visit the Kiwarrak State Forest.  It starts of Tinonee Rd just before the exit of Up River and runs down parallel to Tinonee Rd exiting onto Green Hill Rd just down from the intersection with Tinonee Rd.

River contains some amazing North Shore style work the most notable is the MASSIVE See Saw about halfway down.  While the See Saw is a piece of engineering brilliance some of the other timber features are not in a good state.  I highly recommend a scouting run before hitting the jumps or you could be caught out by some seriously big holes in the ramps.

The first stage of River has a nice steep rough descent, it's tight in places and has plenty of loose rocks on the rooty and rutted trail.  The See Saw comes up at you pretty quickly and I highly recommend checking out the height of the ramp and the steepness of the run out because coming off this apparatus could be quite painful.  For the same reason don't hit the ramp with too much speed.

The ramp on the other side of the See Saw is VERY steep but you need to hold speed to get up the gully on the other side.  The fun continues with a number of North Shore style jumps and one mighty big gap jump over a gully that's like nothing I've seen before.

The final section of Tinonee Rd  contains a number of shoots down small gullies before arriving at Green Hill Rd

This is another one of the trails in Kiwarrak I hope to do again.  Easily ridable on a XC but I plan to ride it again wearing a full face and body armour to get the most out of it.

This website is brought to you by MTB weekend warrior Aaron Markie.
There are plenty of great websites out there with a wealth of information about Mountain Bike Trails,
however in my experience its hard to get a good mix of info, maps, photos and videos of trails I've never ridden.
The idea of this website is to tie those 4 elements together and give you a more detailed look at the MTB Trails I ride.
If you have anything to add then let me know.
