Notes:
To ride El Buro Loco you must ride the first, open, stages of Jackass. These sections are fast, rough and loose with a lot of rock rubble that gathers on the deepest parts of the trail. It was also quite heavily bombholed in the last few corners before the turnoff to El Buro Loco.
El Buro Loco starts near the midpoint of Jackass, with a slight veer to the left. While its adjacent to Jackass it’s a lot steeper following the fall line more closely. It's generally rougher with a lot more roots and rocks, quite a lot of loose dust and steep corners that require more commitment.
El Buro Loco also has a number of drops including some timber ramps. Depending on the state of the trail they can be rolled over with a little momentum but are far more safely attacked with a bit of speed. I wouldn’t recommend going much slower than I was.
This run can be looped by riding down Chair 3 Rd back to Chair 3, or you can commit to a top to bottom run by continuing straight on down Lower Jackass.
