Notes:

This is a fun section of undulating single trail that has a real mix of fun challenges that come at you with relentless frequency.

This section starts at the signposted off-road entrance opposite the North Balgowlah Public School on Manning Street North Balgowlah.

There is a short moderate climb along a bush single track with a fair number of small rocks and roots scattered along the trail.  At the top of the hill the trail crosses a car park and rolls around the edge of the rugby field and bowling greens ending up at the Kirkwood Street parking lot at the north end of the Seaforth Bowling Club.

The MTB trail then turns right off the path and immediately becomes tight winding dirt single trail with plenty of roots poking through.  After this short section you meet a fire trail, turn right.  The fire trail turns 90 degrees to the left and then about 100m the single track viers off to the left.  From there the trail winds its way through the bush roughly parrallel to the Wakehurst Parkway.  Tthere are plenty of low hanging branches to hang yourself on, rocky steps, a number of timber ladder bridges and a couple of challenging and tight rocky shoots .. this section has it all!

After a longish ladder bridge you will reach a rocky outcrop overlooking the Wakehurst Golf Course from here the trail climbs its way back up towards the Wakehurst Parkway.  When you hit the next rock shelf (with a number of climbing steps to attempt) take a left at the top (back to the South), continuing North goes no where.  Shortly after the rock shelf you will hit a steep ladder climb with rock steps at the top.  The trail then turns back on itself and heads North again.  The final stretch of this section has a number of small step climbs and even a section of cobblestones before the trail section ends at the Wakehurst Parkway Creek Fire Trail entrance.

This section is pinch flat territory .. keep an eye out for endless opportunities to rip open your tyres on rocks and roots.

Parking at the beginning or the end of this trail section as well as the playing fields and bowling club.

This website is brought to you by MTB weekend warrior Aaron Markie.
There are plenty of great websites out there with a wealth of information about Mountain Bike Trails,
however in my experience its hard to get a good mix of info, maps, photos and videos of trails I've never ridden.
The idea of this website is to tie those 4 elements together and give you a more detailed look at the MTB Trails I ride.
If you have anything to add then let me know.
