Definitely the highlight of Ourimbah State Forest in my opinion

While you can enter the Rollercoaster from Potters Gully Rd the most common route is from the end of the Jelly Leg Climb.

It doesn't take long for the trail to unveil where the name came from.  A moderate descent, with open and long corners give you an opportunity to blow out some cobwebs and a chance to get up on your pegs.

As the forest becomes thicker the trail becomes steeper and drops down into the Ewok Forest.  The descent is straight and rocky with some nice and easy roll offs.  The trail flattens out right along side Potters Gully Rd near the end of Jurassic Park.

The Ewok Forest then winds its way through some fairly dense green forest, gently climbing its way up and through some huge rocks.  The trail changes name at Red Belly Rock to "Boulders" which seems strange considering the number of Boulders in the previous section, however the trail lives up to its name with some large rock cuttings.

But that's not all!  A little way into Boulders is a short technical rocky climb before leading into "the Dipper".  The Dipper is a steep rocky section that is not as bad as it sounds.  I took the easy B-Line but the A-Line is quite doable for an intermediate rider.

From the Dipper the trail has a short but fast winding descent down into the valley with the trail opening up on a fire trail at the bottom.  There is an exit to Potters Gully Rd on the left but continuing along the single trail will take you into "The Graveyard".

From the top of Jelly Leg Climb to The Graveyard is a great ride!  The Rollercoaster - Ewok Forest - Boulders and Dipper is a must do!

Blog articles that mention this trail

This website is brought to you by MTB weekend warrior Aaron Markie.
There are plenty of great websites out there with a wealth of information about Mountain Bike Trails,
however in my experience its hard to get a good mix of info, maps, photos and videos of trails I've never ridden.
The idea of this website is to tie those 4 elements together and give you a more detailed look at the MTB Trails I ride.
If you have anything to add then let me know.
