Notes:
I've split the Casuarina Grove Circuit Track, Nerang State Forest into 3 sections because I got a little lost and didn't ride the circuit as a loop. The best way to ride it would be to start from the trail head and ride the circuit in a clockwise direction. Rather than riding out to the Central Intersection like I did (see the video or maps for the location) take what I have called the Casuarina Grove Circuit Track (Left) (riding the opposite direction from my video), then take the Casuarina Grove Circuit Track - Optional Loop and continue onto the Casuarina Grove Circuit Track (right). The direct trail to the Central Intersection is not marked on their maps, this is why I got confused. I was planning on re-shooting the trail however I was having too much fun on the other trails in the forest to ride the beginners loop again.
As mentioned above I would recommend riding this part of the trail in opposite direction to my video in order to create a loop. 30 seconds into the video you will see the sign to the left, take this trail rather than riding up to the Central Intersection.
This trail starts from the Trail Head (see the main story on Nerang for directions on how to find this point). There are three trails leading off from the Trail Head, take the middle one.
The bush around Left Track is generally more open that the other three sections of the Casuarina Grove Circuit however its biggest legacy is the number of trees lining the trail on tight corners, some of the corners are also a little sandy.
The trail can be a little rutty in places assisted by rocks and roots crossing the trail. It certainly ads a bit of spice to an otherwise flat and cruisey ride.
The whole Casuarina Grove Circuit is easily ridden by beginners however there is enough entertainment on the trail to keep intermediates happy and the slightest moment of complacency could see you OTB courtesy of a bar vs tree altercation.
