Notes:
I've split the Casuarina Grove Circuit Track, Nerang State Forest into 3 sections because I got a little lost and didn't ride the circuit as a loop. The best way to ride it would be to start from the trail head and ride the circuit in a clockwise direction. Rather than riding out to the Central Intersection like I did (see the video or maps for the location) take what I have called the Casuarina Grove Circuit Track (Left) (riding the opposite direction from my video), then take the Casuarina Grove Circuit Track - Optional Loop and continue onto the Casuarina Grove Circuit Track (right). The direct trail to the Central Intersection is not marked on their maps, this is why I got confused. I was planning on re-shooting the trail however I was having too much fun on the other trails in the forest to ride the beginners loop again.
The bush surrounding this section of trail is quite different from the Casuarina Grove Circuit Track (Left) and the Casuarina Grove Circuit Track - Optional Loop. Far denser, greener and in places overgrown it provides a very different feel, however the trail itself continues much in the same vein.
A couple of wooden bridges, some logs to roll over and a nice flowy descent section around the far side make the return leg quite fun. Some of the corners are a little rutty but barely rate a mention and while the trail is generally quite wide there are also some sections where the grass is doing its best to reclaim the trail.
When you hit the fire trail at the end turn right and follow the wide track back up for about 20m to the trail head.
Of the three Casuarina Grove Circuit tracks this is the easiest. For absolute beginners riding from the trail head directly to the Central Intersection and then heading down this section might be a good initiation.
