Notes:

I've split the Casuarina Grove Circuit Track, Nerang State Forest into 3 sections because I got a little lost and didn't ride the circuit as a loop.  The best way to ride it would be to start from the trail head and ride the circuit in a clockwise direction.  Rather than riding out to the Central Intersection like I did (see the video or maps for the location) take what I have called the Casuarina Grove Circuit Track (Left) (riding the opposite direction from my video), then take the Casuarina Grove Circuit Track - Optional Loop and continue onto the Casuarina Grove Circuit Track (right).  The direct trail to the Central Intersection is not marked on their maps, this is why I got confused.  I was planning on re-shooting the trail however I was having too much fun on the other trails in the forest to ride the beginners loop again.

The Optional Loop runs off the Casuarina Grove Circuit Track - Left not far from the central intersection.  The trail then climbs up through the bush and winds its way down again to meet the main circuit track at the Central Intersection.

The trail can be ridden in either direction however I found it slightly easier climbing and more fun descending when riding in a clockwise direction.

The trail contains quite a number of erosion controls that form small steps.  Regardless of which direction you ride they are relatively easy.  When climbing beginners may stumble on some of them but the descents are easily managed.  It's certainly a good place for beginners to practice simple technical climbing skills.

In many places trees line the trail quite tightly, some show plenty of scars from MTBers who cut things a bit fine.  There are a number of very tight turns but some open flowy sections as well, plus a number of timber bridges.

The Optional Loop is very similar to the rest of the Casuarina Grove Circuit Track but an 800m addition that's definitely worth the ride.

This website is brought to you by MTB weekend warrior Aaron Markie.
There are plenty of great websites out there with a wealth of information about Mountain Bike Trails,
however in my experience its hard to get a good mix of info, maps, photos and videos of trails I've never ridden.
The idea of this website is to tie those 4 elements together and give you a more detailed look at the MTB Trails I ride.
If you have anything to add then let me know.
