Notes:
Bike Path - those two words can send shivers down the spine of any self respecting mountain biker, but on this occasion the term Bike Path refers to something more like a dirt road - for the most part.
Starting from the end of the The Grove Track at Citadel Cres, Glenhaven the Fullers Road Reserve Bike Path runs all the way to the north end of the Fred Caterson Reserve. For all intense and purposes it runs right down to the Water Treatment Plant however for the sake of creating trail sections we have ended this video at the section we call the Northern Loop, near the gate off Drawbridge Place.
The trail is almost perfectly flat and well groomed with sections of genuine dirt, a weird dirt / concrete mix and even a small section of road. It is a shared path but due to it's width and open nature you can fairly comfortably power along it.
For mountain bikers riding the Fred Caterson Reserve this track links the area around the Water Treatment Plant to the The Grove Track and Linksley Reserve Trail which are worth heading out to for the complete XC experience. It also intersects with the downhill section of The Bottom Trail at the Water Pipe which is without a doubt the highlight of Fred Cat.
Parking at Citadel Cres or Drawbridge Place and a few other places where the trail touches suburbia.
