Notes:

The Linksley Reserve Trail is a secret little section of single track just over the road from the start of the Grove Track.

This video is in reverse, starting from the steep descent at the end.

Head through the parkland on Linksley Ave (opposite Timber Grove) the single track starts from the gate.

The trail cruises up through the Linksely Reserve.  It crosses the creek not long into the ride and this steep crossing might be beyond beginner riders, for the more experienced its quite fun especially on the way back as the trail turns and drops quite suddenly (in the video you will hear my skid - I got quite sideways).

The trail climbs up the valley on a fairly easy gradient there are two jumps just on the other side of the next small creek crossing, one that could shoot you over the creek on the return ride.  On the day I wasn't carrying enough speed to do these.

Just up from the jumps is a fork in the road with the following sign - see below.  Take the trail to the right and climb right up to the backyard.  The climb is quite steep and at the time of riding the trail had a heavy cover of leaf litter.

The trail ends at a fellow MTBers backyard (who I had the pleasure of chatting too while I sucked in the big ones).

The descent is steep but plenty of fun, it seemed well groomed under the leaves, I should have climbed back up and done it without brakes.  It's worth trying to hold your speed past the intersection so you can hit the jumps.

This was a pretty fun section of trail its definitely worth riding if you are planning on riding the Grove Trail or Fullers Road Reserve Bike Path.

Parking in Timber Grove or along Linksley Ave.

Comments:

This website is brought to you by MTB weekend warrior Aaron Markie.
There are plenty of great websites out there with a wealth of information about Mountain Bike Trails,
however in my experience its hard to get a good mix of info, maps, photos and videos of trails I've never ridden.
The idea of this website is to tie those 4 elements together and give you a more detailed look at the MTB Trails I ride.
If you have anything to add then let me know.
