Notes:
The Start trail helps to create a loop by linking the main central playing fields with the southern (main) entrance of Fred Caterson Reserve.
At the time of riding there were a number of trails forking off along the route and an extension at the top end. Some of them were entrances/exits from to fields along the way while others were either old disused trails or possibly the early days of new trails. When riding this area keep a look out for alternate trail options.
The video begins from the central playing fields running along the outer path at the south end. The trail dives off in a southerly direction into the bush between the cemetery and the pony club. You may notice in the video we took a short detour along a track less travelled before coming back to the main trail.
From the south western corner of the pony club (the fence in the video), the trail cruises its way through the narrow section of bush between Caterson Drive and the pony club. There are some fairly easy rocky sections and some trees close to the trail that provide additional entertainment.
This section of trail is almost dead flat the whole way. While it feels like a slight climb Strava told me it was in fact on a slight decline when running north-south.
The trail ends on Caterson Drive just short of Gilbert Rd.
At the time of riding there was some more single track heading east back up into the bush but it quickly petered out (as seen on the video). It's worth checking out to see if the trail has opened up.
From the south end of the trail ride back down Caterson Drive and take a left toward the cricket ground but turn immediately through the gate on the right and down to the Bolt Trail.
At the north end link with the trails in the area between the BMX Track and Cemetery.
