From the far side of the Dam Wall ride up the single track entrance and take the left to head down to the bottom car park.
The descent begins at the trail intersection with a tight section of reasonably steep and winding single track. At the time of riding the trail was pretty clear but there was fair amount of foliage close to the trail. There were sections where I could open up the throttle but due to the lack of clear vision and knowing other riders would be coming the other way I erred on the side of caution.
Despite a significant descent down the back side of the Dam this section does have a number of dips and short steep climbs that can catch you out if you aren't in the right gear. If riding in the other direction be prepared for a reasonable climb up to the trail head.
