Notes:
Fred Caterson, or FredCat as its known to the locals, has a quite surprising and extensive set of trails that carve their way through the bush that surrounds the playing fields, Water Treatment Plant and right up to the Linksley Reserve. We've ridden there a few times now but far from rode every piece of trail. The tracks are predominantly tight with small technical sections of rocks and roots etc. There is not a great deal of vert so its a great place to practice your skills without getting too warn out.
There are some good sections up above the water treatment plant through the narrow section of bush to the north of the Water Treatment Plant (The Bottom Trail and Double Down) however the highest concentration of playful single track is in the area around the BMX Track and Gilbert Rd.
There are many starting points with plenty of parking throughout the reserve, however be warned on a Saturday morning its full of soccer mums and dads. In which case parking near the cemetery on Gilbert Rd would be my recommendation.
