Notes:
This trail starts from the fire trail directly opposite the section of open rollers on the Blue Descent.
The trail starts climbing immediately with some narrow trees, rocks and a log roll over to catch out weary legs, however this is just the start of the challenges that lie ahead. A couple of switchbacks later the first of a number of big rock climbs appear, some that also contain navigational challenges.
A flatter traverse along the open bushland lulls you into a false sense of security before a tight right hand switchback throws you back into technical climbs at a setion named 10 Green Bottles. This section of trail contains a lot of bedded rocks as well as some rock faces to climb. Not being a great climber this section took me a bit of practice to get through without putting a foot down (however I'm happy to say I did that on my 4th try).
After reaching the top of the hill the trail turns down again sharply and around a cobblestone turn before crossing the first in series of ladder bridges, all of which contain some significant drops if you fail to stay on target.
The final section of this trail winds its way around the hill, has a few small climbs before returning you to the very top of the fire trail at Quarry Rd
ALERT: - I've found a lot of broken glass on this trail. Keep an eye out!
