Notes:

Terminal Velocity and the Spin Doctor trails are located in the north western corner of Stromlo Forest Park.  They link the end of Deep Creek with Shady's and form part of the climb out from the western side of Stromlo.

At the end of Deep Creek turn left down the fire trail and keep left at the next intersection.  The fire trail section is Terminal Velocity and the single track at the bottom of the hill is Spin DoctorSpin Doctor ends at the intersection of Shady's and Deadgum Dam (closed at the time of riding).

One would assume Terminal Velocity gets its name from the fast straight descent to the start of Spin Doctor.  Vision is pretty clear along the fire trail however be warned the Spin Doctor entry is not entirely smooth and kicks up hill swiftly.  If you can hold speed it will be of advantage but it's a long way from home if you have a big stack.  That being said I was moving pretty fast on the first run and it sure got the juices flowing :)

For the most part Spin Doctor is a steady climb winding its way up the hill side.  There are plenty of bare rocks on the trail, a number of challenging but doable rock slab climbs and even a significant dip over the creek.  Keep an eye on that one I think it might be deeper than it looks.

Spin Doctor is a fairly short and simple trail but as mentioned it’s rough and climbing with little respite so don't underestimate the effort required especially after the energy spent on other trails to get to this point.

It's a green trail and certainly rideable by any mountain biker with a basic level of competency.  The trails to get to this point are tougher.

Comments:

This website is brought to you by MTB weekend warrior Aaron Markie.
There are plenty of great websites out there with a wealth of information about Mountain Bike Trails,
however in my experience its hard to get a good mix of info, maps, photos and videos of trails I've never ridden.
The idea of this website is to tie those 4 elements together and give you a more detailed look at the MTB Trails I ride.
If you have anything to add then let me know.
