My god I love riding Stromlo Forest Park

 26/12/2013

It's no secret that Stromlo Forest Park is my favourite place to ride my mountain bike.  Despite living just minutes from some of the best trails in Sydney I've made the 3 hour (one way) trip to Stromlo on 4 occasions this year, including a hit and run day trip where I shot these two videos.

I'm getting very close to completing mountain bike trail videos of every trail within the Stromlo Forest with just a few left on the main face to complete the set.  On this trip I spent a fair bit of time on the back side trails, riding/walking it back up the Casurina Fire Trail climb to do it all over again.

If you are into XC make sure you check out the videos of Deep Creek and Shady's.  Great for those who enjoy cranking the pedals.  I also enjoyed fanging it through the sandy trailed Party Line but the real excitement was in the step up riding the tight and technical descents of Roller Coaster, Magpie Rock and Slick Rock.  See the 2nd Video below

I also completed my first non stop cannonball run down Western Wedgetail, Pork Barrel and Double Dissolution.  That was a massive buzz.

Enjoy a couple of feature videos.  Click on the YouTube logos to break them out into the full size HD player.

Comments:

This website is brought to you by MTB weekend warrior Aaron Markie.
There are plenty of great websites out there with a wealth of information about Mountain Bike Trails,
however in my experience its hard to get a good mix of info, maps, photos and videos of trails I've never ridden.
The idea of this website is to tie those 4 elements together and give you a more detailed look at the MTB Trails I ride.
If you have anything to add then let me know.
