Video Uploaded: 16/11/2014

Difficulty - Easy
Slope - Flat
Space - Open
Surface - Dirt - Roots
Trail type - Single track

Notes:

Tahi is about as beginner as a trail can get in  fact it’s easier than the kids loop.   Personally I’d take a beginner on Tahi to make sure they could ride a bike then get them onto Dipper as quickly as possible.

For the  most part Tahi provides access from  the Waipa Carpark to the Creek Trail.  The opening section of Tahi is flat and almost dead straight, after clearing the kids loop  it climbs a little, the trail becomes narrower in some sections, has a few  roots and some corners.

As far as  beginner trails go it’s pretty good.  The  nice people at Pak N Save have put  up signs along the trail giving riders tips on when to change gear for hills  etc.  It’s not a bad touch.

For the  rest of us it’s a nice warm up before heading off a much bigger adventure.

This website is brought to you by MTB weekend warrior Aaron Markie.
There are plenty of great websites out there with a wealth of information about Mountain Bike Trails,
however in my experience its hard to get a good mix of info, maps, photos and videos of trails I've never ridden.
The idea of this website is to tie those 4 elements together and give you a more detailed look at the MTB Trails I ride.
If you have anything to add then let me know.
